Vigenere code

Treasure Quest Society was started because I like mysteries and clue hunts. My father worked on code machines in the Army. I guess it started when I was in elementary school. I was at a friends house and found a piece of paper hidden in a lamp post. The paper looked like it was written in some sort of code. I took it home and with a few comments from my father I set about deciphering it. It was a simple Caesar cipher. It turned out to be a note to my friend from another friend. So I wrote my own note in the code and put it back in the secret place in the lamp post. They were sure surprised when they realized I broke their code! That got me interested in more. But like most people, life kind of got in the way and I didn't pursue codes much anymore.

When I got married I started making codes and ciphers for my wife to follow. (She is a lot like me.) Here is a shot of a silver necklace I made for her that is a code. Can you decipher it? (click it for a bigger image) Then I started making clue hunts for local businesses. Everyone had so much fun that I started Treasure Quest Society. Millions of people join clue hunts around the world and movies like National Treasure gets people wanting more.

Can You Solve The Quest? The Quest is an interactive novel in a sense. It is delivered in electronic (PDF) format, so you can keep it and even print out to take it anywhere! It is set in modern day United States and is woven around fact and fiction. It puts the reader in the place of figuring out clues left in a journal of William Whitfield. The journal is filled with pictures, clues, codes and riddles. When you figure out the first clue, you go to a web location and enter in the answer. If you are right, you get the next clue and more information to continue your quest. Each part of the journey is downloadable and printable. There is nothing else like it in the world! I Want To Start Now!

You don't have to be a cryptologist to play. The Quest is designed to be solvable with no former knowledge of codes required. You will have all the information you need to have loads of fun. If you are a cryptologist, you will still have fun. The codes are not always straight forward and it is balanced by the use of riddles that need to be solved as well.
